Arunachal’s Siang river valley opens a new circuit of village homestays
The new highway along the Siang river, still being finished in places, has already changed the arithmetic of the valley: villages that were days from the nearest market now sit on a road.
Forty villages have registered homestays, and a fledgling circuit offers rafting, fishing camps and the hospitality of Adi and Galo families.
Tourism officers call it the state’s most promising valley corridor since the Ziro basin.
